What is being built at the 224th SE 4th St area in Sammamish is a housing expansion of the Sammamish commons called TerraLuxe. The current phase this project is in is building 45 homes along with some affordable housing units mixed through out the project. Future phases of this project may include more housing, retail stores, or additional courtyard spaces.
Why dose this effect Eastlake. The addition of 45 new homes creates the almost guarantee of a larger student body at our school. This phase along with more possible expansions in the near future could result in a dramatic increase to Eastlake’s population. This could increase Eastlakes current parking issues, amplify the crowded halls, and would need buss routes to change. The current phase of this project is projected to be finished fall of 2026. However some of these housing units are already being sold and some already occupied.
