Eastlake DECA is preparing for its annual trip to London, giving students the opportunity to experience international travel while exploring business, finance, and culture outside the classroom.
Mr. Rigtrup, who teaches Accounting and Personal Finance at Eastlake, encourages students to participate in the trip because of the unique experiences it offers. According to Rigtrup, the goal is to give students opportunities they may not otherwise have and help them see the many possibilities available to them after high school.
During the trip, students attend conferences, visit historical and cultural sites, and gain firsthand exposure to life in another country. Rigtrup believes these experiences help students develop a broader perspective and better understand the world around them.
The London trip also connects to lessons taught in the classroom, allowing students to apply concepts related to business, finance, and decision-making in a real-world setting.
As Eastlake DECA continues planning for the trip, students interested in expanding their horizons and gaining international experience are encouraged to learn more about the opportunity.
