With the end of the Fall sports season and the start of winter sports coming soon, we wanted to take a look at how the season went for Eastlake and look to the future to the upcoming Winter Sports season.
Varsity Football is by far Eastlake’s biggest sport, and this year we had a good season, despite some lows. Eastlake finished first in King County
after beating our rival team, Skyline, at our homecoming game. We also made it into the post season playoffs, but unfortunately, we ended up losing in the first round of the playoffs to Puyallup.
Eastlake’s other fall sports have also had good seasons this year. Girls volleyball is on their way to state after a good season, and cross country has already won state and is already on their way to the cross-regional competition in Boisie. Pack news interviewed members of the cross country team, and they said that they were excited
As for the Winter season, Eastlake has a new sport, that being Girls Flag Football. Along with that there will be Wrestling, Gymnastics, Boys swim & dive, and of course basketball. Two years ago, Eastlake’s girls basketball team made it into the playoffs, and went on to win the state championship. Members of the Lady Wolves basketball team have said that the team has a “great family environment” which is important for the team.
