There has been some concern surrounding the organization skills of the freshmen this year. In the past many freshmen have struggled to handle the chaos of a high school schedule and the workload that comes with it. 
In order to set them up for success in the future, they are being encouraged to use planners to keep their assignments in order.
Ms. Kinzer strongly advises for the use of planners, mentioning how often she uses hers and how well it helps her keep everything organized. Many freshman teachers are working to get their students to use their planners more often.
Planners are great to help in keeping track of assignments and even personal events, so you know when you have open time. Organization skills are essential for future responsibilities such as college and jobs. Influencing the use of planners will help develop the habit of organization early on, with the hope they will continue to use this skill in the future.
