It’s that time of year again! College applications are due soon and some of our seniors might be stressing to get them done. However, they’re not alone, we asked some of our seniors for their opinion on this topic.
“it’s just hard juggling apps and schoolwork” Said Akshaya V, a senior at Eastlake. Many students claimed that the most difficult part of the process was time management with Annika R stating, “I think the most challenging parts of college apps are time management and motivation.”
College apps can be useful for seniors when deciding what they want to study in college and which field they want to go into afterwards. STEM subjects being a popular sentiment among many of the students with Jaycee, another Eastlake senior, saying “I’m thinking of going into environmental science or just science in general.”
While this process may be stressful the Eastlake counselors are always here to answer any questions. Ms. Olson, one of the counselors at Eastlake, explained that students “should focus on are the essays, making them meaningful and well-spoken.”
The process may be a tedious experience, but it is an important step that helps highschool students start the next chapter of their post-highschool journey.
