The wolves JV volleyball team 4-1 right now and is currently looking to further their winning streak to 5. For varsity, they are looking to turn things around. The Wolves Varsity Volleyball team have started off the season rocky. With an overall record of 5-4-1, and a league record of 1-3, making them 6th in Kingco. This week both Varsity and JV teams play Newport and Inglemoor.
Co-caption, senior, middle hitter Krista Kostoff is “looking forward to the comeback season of a lifetime, we might be down right now but trust me, we are up, we are up.” Krista currently leads the wolves with a hitting percentage of 0.211% and 13 total blocks. She shouts out Junior outside hitter Ella Neubauer who currently has 108 kills this season.
With much of the season still ahead, Co-caption Jess Martin, senior, libero, is excited “to go to state this year [she] thinks it’s been a big goal for [their] team the past 2 years and this year [they] finally have the players and the goal to do it.” Eastlake is looking to make a state appearance since 2018.
Eastlake travels to Inglemoor this Thursday, September 28th and are hoping for a good outcome. Come support and cheer on our wolves at their next home game against Interlake Saints next Tuesday, October 3rd.
