Twenty-five Eastlake athletes qualify for track and field state championship

SAMMAMISH- Last week, Eastlake finished with an impressive overall performance in the Sea-King district championship. The strong performance from the team landed 25 athletes, 12 boys and 13 girls, in the WIAA 4a Track & Field State Championships.

Boys: Kai Baker, Thomas Gustafson, Evan Harper, Mason Heisser, Bryson Hodges, Connor Hom, Justin Hom, Harry Mchugh, Ethan Pedersen, Eli Yoon, Noah Zahn, Gustav Zaunders
Girls: Holly Carroll, Alyssa Flindt, Peyton Glennon-Robbins, Ava Hagwell, Addison Kapur, Alison Plagge, Marisa Prock, Peyton Quinto, Sofia Robe, Jane Roos, Sally Roos, Erin Schmidlin, Sophia Tedrow
Relay events
The boys 4×400 meter relay will be a contender for the state title, featuring a starting lineup of Evan Harper, Harry Mchugh, Justin Hom, and Connor Hom.
Peyton Glennon-Robbins, Ava Hagwell, Sofia Robe, and Peyton Quinto will compete in the girls 4×100 meter relay and the girls 4×200 meter relay.
Alyssa Flindt, Sally Roos, Peyton Quinto, and Ava Hagwell will compete in the girls 4×400 meter relay.
Individual events
Evan Harper and Harry Mchugh will compete in the boys 200 meter dash.
Evan Harper will compete in the boys 400 meter dash.
Connor Hom and Justin Hom will compete in the boys 800 meter dash and the boys 1600 meter dash.
Noah Zahn and Ethan Pedersen will compete in the boys 3200 meter dash.
Kai Baker will compete in boys discus.
Mason Heisser will compete in boys triple jump.
Sally Roos will compete in the girls 800 meter dash.
Jane Roos will compete in the girls 1600 meter dash.
Addison Kapur will compete in girls javelin.
Peyton Glennon-Robbins will compete in girls long jump.
Conclusion
The Washington Track and Field state championships will occur May 25th-May 27th at Mt. Tahoma High School. First events will begin at 3:30PM Thursday. Congratulations and good luck to all 25 athletes who qualified. Go Wolves!
